An eye-popping holographic cover is an apt portal to more of the 'world's weirdest facts' from Ripley's, from animal antics (e.g., a retired film chimp who plays the piano and paints) to anatomical oddities. Also included are championship eaters, a much-pierced fellow, and a man who recreates Old Masters art on dusty car windshields, as well as the classic bearded lady. The amply-illustrated volume also contains a sampling of letters to Robert Ripley from the public for inclusion in his 1929-31 comic strip, and a solicitation for submissions.
